Hebrews 10:23-25 CEB "Let’s hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, because the one who made the promises is reliable. And let us consider each other carefully for the purpose of sparking love and good deeds. Don’t stop meeting together with other believers, which some people have gotten into the habit of doing. Instead, encourage each other, especially as you see the day drawing near."
We know that attending a church service for the first time can be a super scary thing! Being unsure of the "dress code"....being unfamiliar with the culture... even being unsure about when to stand up and when to sit down....these can all be weirdly-paralyzing thoughts.
We've created a first-time guest guide that will help you navigate a visit to Good Shepherd. We hope it helps to ease any questions or concerns you might have before attending. Click here to read, or print a FIRST-TIME GUEST GUIDE. We trust that through visiting with us, you will experience the encouragement, love, and joy which can come from worshiping with a community of people who love Jesus.
There are three opportunities to gather together on Sundays at GSUMC. At 8:30, at 11:00, and during our Sunday Morning Grow hour, you can expect to meet friendly and authentic people. You can look forward to engaging and relevant music and worship. The same compelling, Bible-based sermon will be offered at 8:30 and at 11. Nursery care is available at all times and an opportunity for your child to attend "Junior Church" happens at both worship services. Every Sunday morning affords you the opportunity to encounter God. You will be encouraged and maybe even challenged.
